Congrats to Rafael Nadal!

Although I was hoping that Federer would win his first French Open, Nadal is just too good on clay. His dominance in clay is undisputable, especially after wiping out Federer 6-1, 6-3, 6-0 in the final yesterday. And before beating him, Nadal claimed world number three Djokovic's scalp with a 6-4, 6-2, 7-6 victory. This means that not only he made history by tying Bjorn Borg's record of 4 consecutive French Open titles, he also won it by beating the top ranked players in the world without dropping a set, as a matter of fact, for the whole tournament! Talk about dominance huh? And he also became the first player since 1999 to beat Federer 6-0 in a set. Phew!

I think this guy deserves a special recognition, especially after playing second fiddle to Federer for the past 150 weeks. It was always Federer, Federer, Federer in the headlines, but when it comes to playing on clay, Federer is a nobody.

So when is Federer going to win the French Open? Next year? I doubt it. Nadal is only 22. And he can only get better and better.
